Craig Compiano – President, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Compiano is an expert business manager and entrepreneur with extensive executive management experience and a track record for developing successful businesses. He brings to the Company and the industry, 30 years experience in Business and Systems Development, Operations, and Finance. His prior accomplishments in software development for large commercial and public sector clients during his tenure at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) led to his current concentration on operational systems development and performance analytics for data centers, and the founding of Modius. Previously as Co-Founder and Vice President of Paymap, Inc., Mr. Compiano prototyped, developed, and deployed an Electronic Payment System, that has been widely adopted by the banking industry. He was awarded a patent for this technology. Mr. Compiano has a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA Finance from UC Berkeley.

Ed Sterbenc – Vice President, Corporate Sales

Ed Sterbenc is a senior executive with proven track record of driving growth and profitability in competitive global customer markets. Ed previously served as VP-Sales for the Americas at Nimsoft, where he was responsible for all revenue generating activities in the region, including lead generation, pre-sales technical support, inside and outside sales. In this role, Mr. Sterbenc led the delivery of nearly 60% of the revenue of the company as it grew from under $10M to $29M in annual sales. Prior roles include EVP-Worldwide Sales at Digital Fuel Technologies where he was responsible for all revenue generating activities, President & CEO of SharkRack and Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Sylantro Systems, a telephony applications start-up company. At Tandem Computers, Ed held a wide variety of management positions such as leadership of Product and Competitive Marketing including PR, Industry and Consulting Relations, management of the Americas Commercial field sales organization, head of Sales Operations for the Intercontinental Division serving on the Boards of serveral Tandem subsidiaries including those in Canada, Japan, Chile and Peru. Mr. Sterbenc has degrees in Industrial Management and Computer Science form Purdue University awarded with honors. A member of Mensa, he is also an accomplished musician, sailor and amateur astronomer.

Scott Brown – Vice President, Engineering

Scott Brown is an accomplished software executive and technologist with over 25 years of engineering and enterprise software experience. He has a broad product/technology background that includes data warehousing, business intelligence, telecommunications applications, networking, and distributed storage systems. His functional background includes product development, strategy, product management, customer support, professional services and IT. Previously, Brown was VP of Products and Services at DecisionPoint Software where he built a high performance product team known for on-time releases, reinvigorated service and support and significantly strengthened the depth and breadth of the product offering. Prior to DecisionPoint, Brown held senior engineering and strategic planning positions at Veritas - where he was responsible for four strategic product lines, Novell - where he was the driving force behind the design and development of Novell Storage Services and at Tandem Computers - where he managed the telecommunications applications group including engineering and customer service. Mr. Brown also led significant engineering teams for a number of start-up companies including Telespree, Andromedia and Computer Curriculum Corporation. Mr. Brown received an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BS in Computer Science from Utah State University. Brown is a contributing author in two books published by MIT Press: Technology 2001: The Future of Computing and Communications (1991) and The Future of Software (1995).

Donald Klein – Vice President, Marketing & Business Development

Donald Klein is currently Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at Modius, Inc. In this role, Donald oversees all marketing and strategic development activities at the firm. Prior to Modius, Donald held positions as VP Strategic Alliances and VP Product Management at Tideway Systems, an innovative enterprise software business focused on application management (acquired by BMC). Donald also worked as a technology analyst at Generation Investment Management (GIM), one of the world’s largest funds specializing in clean-tech and sustainability investments. Other software development experience includes Ingenta, the online publishing company that IPO’d on the London Stock Exchange in 2001, where he was responsible for the company’s software-as-a-service product line and spearheaded two acquisitions. Donald holds an MBA from London Business School, and degrees from Stanford University and Colby College.

Mark Harris – Vice President, Product Management

As vice president of Product Management at Modius Corporation, Mark Harris is responsible for the identification of new solution areas for product development and the development of strategic marketing initiatives for existing solution sets. Mr. Harris plays a pivotal role in assisting Modius in its corporate growth, and in positioning Modius as a strategic IT investment for its customers. Prior to Modius, Harris held senior sales and marketing roles at Avocent Corporation. Prior to Avocent, Harris held similar roles at Cyclades Corporation (acquired by Avocent in March 2006), most recently as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing. Before this, Harris held director-level marketing, sales and channel management roles at networking vendors including Extreme Networks, Cabletron (acquired by Enterasys), Netscaler (acquired by Citrix) and a lengthy role within Digital Equipment Corporation (acquired by HP), focused on commercial systems, storage and networking solutions. Harris is a 1983 graduate of Arizona State University near Phoenix.
