OpenData Device Gateway
OpenData software is deployed easily into your infrastructure by means of discreet serial processors. These small machines are pre-configured with the code that supports your network’s physical connectivity needs. The OpenData Device Gateway is a powerful yet highly compact single-port device server used to connect serial devices to a TCP/IP network.
Dual PCMCIA slots in the gateway allow for enhanced functionality with support for many interface cards, such as Ethernet, modem (v.90, GSM, CDMA and ISDN) and wireless LAN. Typical applications include industrial and retail automation and IP enabling legacy serial devices.
The Device Gateway uses a PowerPC dual CPU to transfer data from its 10/100BT Ethernet interface to RS232/RS485 (software selectable) serial interfaces and vice versa, enabling communication between the serial device and the network and supports SSHv2 (Secure Shell) to protect your data connections with the highest degree of security.
